* Salicylic Acid 2.0% → A beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) with keratolytic activity to help open clogged sebaceous follicles. It helps dissolve the top layers of the stratum corneum cells and remove impurities, improving the look and feel of the skin. Also antiseptic and fungicidal.

Acne Treatment Lotion
* Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% → An antibacterial agent commonly used in acne treatments. It functions by forcing an oxidant (peroxide) into pilosebaceous follicle where it releases oxygen, thereby diminishing the P. acne population. This reduces the level of toxic, corrosive fatty acids and inflammation activity.

This system actually surprised me as I was doing my research. When we think of acne treatment systems, SkinMedica is very rarely in the list we come up with, yet this is a system that can compete with the best products on the market. It’s 3 step system is so simple; wash – tone – protect, yet the results are virtually astonoshing. We had trouble finding any negative feedback about the product, and were inundated with information relating to positve views and very happy customers.

If the SkinMedica Acne System is not on your list of products to try, it should be. I’m giving this 4 and a half stars out of 5, which shows just how impressed i am with it.
